Living as Indians today ... how we continue our cultures

Some of the ways we live as Indians today:
  • Speaking our languages
  • Attending Pow Wows or traditional dances
  • Learning about Indian history, treaties, laws, modern issues
  • Supporting our communities by helping out, volunteering
  • Speaking about our causes
  • Remembering our own family histories
  • Learning traditional crafts
  • Identifying as Indian in our daily work, professional and/or academic lives
  • Reminding all people that we are Still Here!
  • Make certain that all official documents record or reflect our race as Indian
  • Learn about laws affecting Indians and other Indigenous People
